A great weekend of baseball begins on Friday night at 8:05 pm. The Topeka Golden Giants will welcome in the Denver Cougars from the Rocky Mountain Baseball League. The Cougars are currently 7-1 on the season and have outscored the competition by a 52-17 margin. The Golden Giants (8-4) lost a hard fought game on Tuesday night to a very good Sedalia team. Topeka gave up four runs in the top of the ninth and were unable to produce any runs to escape the defeat. Kansas State product Brandon Faulkner went 6 innings, allowing just one run as he struck out 6. Topeka will host Denver for three games this weekend. The first game being Friday night at a special start time of 8:05 pm. The Cougars will play two against the Golden Giants on Saturday starting at 5:05 pm, as the clubs participate in a day/night double-header. On Sunday the Golden Giants will welcome in the Springfield Generals of the Red River League to play a Double-Header at 2:05 pm. Tickets are just $5 and we offer affordable options for concessions so the whole family can come out and enjoy some great baseball action.
